The 4 star Thornton Hall Hotel at Thornton Hough has been shortlisted for ‘Hotel of the Year’ and ‘Restaurant of the Year’ in the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2019.
The awards recognise the very best of Liverpool City Region’s visitor economy, spanning hotels, restaurants, apartments, visitor attractions, bars, events, cafes, tourism experiences, and entertainment venues.
This year, Thornton Hall and its fine dining restaurant, The Lawns, have been shortlisted for ‘Hotel of the Year’ and ‘Restaurant of the Year’ respectively.
Over the past five years, substantial investment has helped boost the hotel’s reputation and offer, including improved spa facilities and extensive interior refurbishment across bedrooms, function rooms and The Lawns restaurant.
In 2018 alone, the hotel won an award for ‘Best Tasting Afternoon Tea of the Year’, with The Lawns restaurant recognised as ‘Best Fine Dining Venue in Merseyside’ at the Lux Food and Drink awards.
General Manager of Thornton Hall, Geoff Dale, said: “We’re delighted to have received two shortlists in the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, which is a huge credit to our team. Offering an exceptional guest experience, from impeccable service to delicious food, is always top of our agenda, so it’s fantastic to be recognised as a leader in the region.”
The finals will take place on Thursday 16th May.
