Merseyside Police are seeking witnesses to an assault that took place on the Puddydale football field on October 21 between half past one and half past two.

A 12 year old boy was playing football with friends when they were approached by several older youths who asked if they could join in.

After a short while, the victim of the assault suggested to the newcomers that he and his friends would prefer to continue their game on their own.

The boy was then pushed to the ground and kicked on the arm by one of the older youths – and his arm was broken.

The suspect is described as a white male of around 14 to 15 years of age, with ginger hair.

He was riding an orange coloured mountain bike on which he rode away in the direction of Pensby Road.

Merseyside Police want to trace the youth responsible for this serious, unprovoked attack. Anyone with any information can email West.Level1@merseyside.pnn.police.uk and should quote Crime Number 18400008642.
