[dropcap type=”circle”]T[/dropcap]his weekend Wirral will once again throw open its studio doors for the 8th annual Wirral Open Studio Tour (WOST).

It’s a two day chance to visit a wide range of talented local professional and semi-professional artists showcasing their work.

If you fancy mooching through artists’ studios, homes, gardens and exhibition spaces to see, chat and engage with painters, photographers, printmakers, potters, glass designers, illustrators and textile artists, why not download the brochure by clicking or tapping here and see what tickles your artistic fancy.

As the political dust will be settling, maybe the time will be just right to indulge in the fruits of local creativity and artistic expression.

The group and tour was set up by Canadian artist Micheline Robinson in the Hoylake/Meols area in 2009 as Artists in Our Midst with 10 artists, and quickly evolved into a Wirral-wide event with over 50 artists participating in 2016.

There are opportunities to take part in Heswall, Thingwall and Thurstaston, though if you prefer you can spread your wings and fly the length and breadth of the Wirral peninsula.

Click on this montage to discover the artists taking part this year and where you can find them.
