It is also thought to be the only location in Wirral to have a state of the art wine vending machines, which allows you to taste more expensive bottles of wine by the glass.

Whitmore & White opened its original Heswall store in 2014 followed by Frodsham in 2015.

Joe Whittick, who owns the business along with his partner Jamie Moore and friends Graham and Laura Simpson, said West Kirby would be their last opening for the foreseeable future.

He said: “I feel like I haven’t actually slept for the past three years, so this one will definitely be the last for a while.

“We really love the continental style delis, which you get all over Europe, where you can pop in for a coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy a snack at the bar too.

“That is what we want to recreate at Whitmore & White. All the food and drink, which you can enjoy here is also available to buy and take home for yourself. There is everything you need all under one roof.”

The team at the West Kirby store includes general manager Simon Parkinson, business development manager LJ and Tom Bennett, sales assistant.

Tom added: “It’s the type of place to come to buy things to impress your friends.”
